We sat down (virtually) with Anna Krzywińska (25) a European trained cosmetologist, born and raised in Syców, Poland. We chatted about her approach to cosmetology, dietetics and a healthy lifestyle.
Hi from Melbourne, Anna! Can you tell us a little about your approach and why you do what you do?
Hi! Sure thing. I believe that a combination of aesthetic medicine and cosmetology allows you to achieve spectacular results, which contributes towards a healthy and happy lifestyle. Working as a cosmetologist, I really enjoy expanding my knowledge in the field of skincare, from the outside and inside. I enjoy teaching people how to properly take care of their skin, what cosmetics to use for a given complexion and what mistakes to avoid in everyday home care. The most important reason why I like my job is to see the smile on the face of a satisfied customer!
What do you think are some of the most important habits to develop in your 20’s?
- A healthy diet (eat as many vegetables and fruits as possible, avoid junk food)
- Drinking the right amount of water
- Using sunscreen
- Physical activity
- The use of cosmetics individually selected for your skin type and with a good composition
- Supporting the skin through individually selected cosmetology treatments tailored to the needs of your skin
- Avoiding stress
- Avoiding cigarettes, alcohol, etc.
Anything you’d recommend to go even deeper in your skincare journey?
- Check the health of the hormonal and endocrine system
- Check the level of vitamins and possibly supplement the deficiencies
- Wear makeup occasionally, keep it to a minimum
Great advice! Are there any products you’d recommend a 20 something add to their skincare routine?
- Gentle Cleanser twice daily
- Vitamin A serum
- Vitamin C serum
- Hydrating Moisturiser
- Eye cream
- Exfoliating face scrub
- Hand cream
And any to avoid?
- Makeup that is not mineral based
- Products that cause acne. Look for the words “non-comedogenic”
- Cheap products that don't have active ingredients and may have fillers and added chemicals
- Toners, they can dry the skin due to alcohol
Wonderful, thanks for chatting with us Anna! It’s so insightful to get into another skin lover's mind!
