Vitamins A&C and eye creams have been a staple of her routine since her early 20’s. An investment she wasn’t sure was worth it at the time, but is now very grateful she committed when she did. In addition to a healthy diet and lifestyle, keeping her face out of the sun and wearing suncream daily has played a large part in her anti-ageing strategy. Without a doubt, paying careful attention to the clinically proven science of cosmeceutical skincare has led to Dr. Emily’s highly effective at-home skincare routine. So without further ado, here it is!

Morning Routine

1. Cleanser.
BioCleanse gently removes surface dirt, pollution, bacteria, excess oil, cell debris and prepares for active serums (without stripping the natural pH of the skin).

2. Vitamin C serum.
SupremaC+ provides antioxidants for anti-ageing and environmental protection, with the added benefits of skin brightening and treating pigmentation.

3. Anti-ageing serum with peptides, active botanicals & antioxidants.
SuperSerum+ hydrates, stimulates collagen production, reverses cellular ageing and repairs DNA.

4. Exfoliant serum (AHA/BHA’s).
Exfol-X is used 2-3 times a week to exfoliate dead skin cells and enhance absorption of active serums. It also treats pigmentation and prevents oil, congestion and acne.

5. Moisturiser with SPF (15+++ in winter, 50+ in summer).
Über Zinc with Zinc oxide is worn most of the year as a sunblock with anti-ageing and other benefits, alternating with this light Moisturiser with Sunscreen. Ultraceuticals 50+ or La Roche Posay Anthelios in summer.

6. Eye serum or cream.
Ingredients such as those found in ImprovEyes Day help with hydration, dark circles, puffiness and fine lines.

7. Mineral BB cream or liquid foundation.
With Zinc oxide, Niacinamide and SPF 15-40+++.

Night Routine

1. Cleanser.
Double cleanse if she's been wearing makeup with one of the cleansers found here.

2. Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) serum.
Priority B is a multifunctional cosmeceutical great for sensitive skin that hydrates, rejuvenates, soothes inflammation, boosts immunity and strengthens the skin barrier while reducing oil, acne, dryness, redness, rosacea and pigmentation.

3. Vitamin A (Retinol).
The gold standard anti-ageing product, Practitioner A+ stimulates collagen and elastin production, reduces fine lines & wrinkles, treats pigmentation, acne, scarring, brightens, clears, firms and plumps skin, as well as reducing pores and oil production. It really does work hard!

4. Anti-ageing night moisturiser.
ReClaim, DermaCalm, Resveratrol and Hydrating Moisturiser are favourites full of antioxidants, firming and hydrating ingredients such as Hyaluronic acid.

5. Eye cream.
Eyelift and ImprovEyes Night are rotated.

6. Lip treatment.
LipService is a hydrating cosmeceutical lip treatment with antioxidants.

*Don’t forget neck and back of hands (for serums, moisturisers and suncreams).

As needed or enjoyed

Face scrubs.
With or without AHA/BHA granules. Used 1-2 times a week along with or instead of the Exfoliant serum mentioned earlier. Dr. Emily loves Aspect Illuminating Polish, The Skincare Company AHA & BHA Facial Scrub and Synergie Skin MediScrub, or MicroPolish mixed with cleanser as a more gentle option.

Face Masks.
For a weekly home treatment or more often when her skin plays up, Dr. Emily swaps between Exfoliating Clay, Fruit Enzyme, Purifying Mineral, Probiotic and Hydrating masks.

Hydrating, calming facial oil.
These products rescue dry skin, reduce redness & inflammation and have a lovely aromatherapy effect. Synergie Skin De-Stress is a self-care favourite and a skin emergency go-to! Dr. Emily switches this up with The Skincare Company Hydration Booster and Aspect Dr Redless serums.

Probiotic serum.
Dermiotic is a pre-serum elixir by Synergie for when Dr. Emily experiences sensitive or inflamed skin, breakouts or wants to boost skin immunity and barrier function. Used most days as a preventative.

Blemish spot treatment.
Synergie Practitioner D-Congest is always in her emergency kit.

Hand cream.
Hand ResQ is a cosmeceutical hand cream with Vitamin B3 to help reduce dryness and sun spots.

Body Moisturisers.
Über Zinc Body with Zinc Oxide SPF15+++ for daytime and B-juvEnate with Vitamin B3 for overnight.

Medifacial and Skin peel treatments.
We recommend doing these in-salon, but Dr. Emily is lucky to be a professional who can perform them at home herself. Generally no more than once a month, but can be used fortnightly when treating a problem. You can book a treatment here.
